Newport News — Funeral services for Ellis Tabet, of Norfolk, who died here 
suddenly Sunday night, were conducted at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church Wednesday 
morning at 9 o'clock. The Rev. William A. Gill, pastor, was in charge. The body 
was taken to Norfolk for interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Mr. Tabet had lived in Newport News for the last four months and was the operator 
of a restaurant.  He was a native of Syria, but had resided in Norfolk for 35 
years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Freda Tabet, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Glass, both 
of Norfolk.
