Mrs. Mattie Davis Taborn of the 1000 block of W. 37th St. died at her residence
Friday, Nov. 14, 1997.

She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Norfolk. Mrs. Taborn was a member
of Norfolk United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosalyn Taborn Holley; two sons, Richard L. Taborn
and Donnell E. Taborn, all of Norfolk; a sister, Gertrude Matthews; a brother,
Charles Davis; five grandchildren, Rhonda, Natasha, Donnell Jr., Dominique and
Richard; a daughter-in-law, Grace D. Taborn; and a son-in-law, Eldren Holley.
Mrs. Taborn was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Clara Robinson Davis.
She was the widow of Edgar Taborn.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Norfolk United Methodist
Church by the Rev. Finley O'Neal Jones. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Graves Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive
friends at 1009 W. 37th St., Norfolk.
