Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, May 29, 2002 
NORFOLK - Richard Leroy ``Ricky'' Taborn of the 1000 block of W. 37th St.,
passed away May 26, 2002. He was the youngest child of the late Edgar and Mattie
Taborn.

Richard was educated in Norfolk public schools and attended Elizabeth City State
University. He was a former member of First Baptist Church Bute Street.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Rhonda, Natasha and Richard; a
devoted brother and sister, Donnell Taborn Sr., wife Grace, and Rosalyn Taborn
Holley and husband, Eldren; a special niece and nephew, Donnell Jr. and
Dominique; two grandsons; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held Friday at noon at Norfolk United Methodist Church, 37th
Street and Bowden's Ferry Road, by the Rev. Kent Jeter with burial in Calvary
Cemetery . The family will receive friends and leave for the funeral home from
the home of his sister, 509 Grayson Way, Chesapeake. Graves Funeral Home is in
charge.
