Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday August 2, 1949
Mrs. James Cowan Tait, 81, former Norfolk resident, died Sunday at Montreat, 
N.C.  She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Fred Elder of Annapolis, Md., 
Mrs. R.E. Corcoran of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Charles E. Hill of Charlotte, 
N.C., Mrs. Robert Edtar of Powell, N.J., and the Misses Irene, Edith and Jean 
Tait of Montreat.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood 
Cemetery for services today at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Jason L. MacMillan, 
D.D., pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
