Death Claims Thomas Talbot
Retired Lawyer and Member of Well Known Virginia Family Succumbs
Thomas Talbot, a member of a famous Virginia family who established Talbot 
Hall, one of the best known of the district’s old homes, died yesterday 
afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at a local hospital. Mr. Talbot, a retired attorney, 
was born at Talbot Hall, and was a lifelong resident of this section. He 
resided at 325 West Freemason Street.
He was the son of the late William Henry and Mrs. Elizabeth Minton Wright 
Talbot. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Elizabeth W. Talbot, of Norfolk 
and Mrs. E Lorraine Ruffin of Richmond, and one brother, Minton W Talbot of 
Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 
o’clock by Rev. H. Dobson Peacock, rector of Christ Church, of which Mr. 
Talbot was a member. Burial will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
