Church, where, at 12:45 o'clock, the funeral services were conducted by the rector, Rev. O.S. Barten, D.D., after which they were conveyed to Elmwood Cemetery for interment, and were followed by a large number of sorrowing friends and acquaintances. Deceased was a young gentleman of many fine qualities and made friends of all with whom he came in contact. Mr. Taliaferro was at one time the business manager of this paper and it was during that period that all connected with THE VIRGINIAN learned to love him and appreciate his noble qualities of heart and head. His host of friends were pained to hear of his demise, and none were more so than those who were associated with him in this office. The following gentlemen, who knew and loved him in life, acted as pallbearers: Messrs. P. Byrd Thompson, R.C. Byrd, R.C. Taylor, Jr., M. Glennan, George B. Henneberry, Henry Walke, Harry C. Keeling and James N. Walke.
