Virginian Pilot December 21, 1967
NORFOLK – Bruce Tanner, 14, a son of Percy Tanner and Mrs. Blanche M. Morton of 910
Druid Circle, died Tuesday in a hospital after a short illness.

He was a native of Norfolk and attended Christ the King Catholic Church.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Also surviving are his step-father, Wayne Morton Sr.; three brothers, Charles
Tanner, Kirk Tanner, and Wayne Morton Jr., of Norfolk; maternal grandparents,
Charles Malbon and Mrs. Eunity Johnson, and paternal grandparents, Percy Tanner Sr.
and Mrs. Luvenia Denby Tanner, all of Norfolk; and step-grandparents, Hordge and
Mrs. Mary Morton of Alabama.

The Office of the Dead will be recited tonight at 7:30 in Graves Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic
Church by the Rev. Francis Quinn. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
