Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 3, 1929

Mrs. Adell L. Tarrant, aged 53, widow of J.W. Tarrant, died at the residence, 224 
West Thirty-fourth Street last night at 10:15 o'clock.  She is a native of North 
Carolina but had been a resident of Norfolk for 47 years.  She is survived by two 
daughters, Miss Hilda Biglow Tarrant and Mrs. Nash Edwards, of Norfolk, five 
grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. R.J. Millington, of Brooklyn, N.Y.  The body 
was removed to the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road, 
pending funeral arrangements.
