Virginian Pilot April 23, 1902

Mrs. Rebecca F. Tarrant, widow of the late William C. Tarrant, died at the home 
of her daughter, Mrs. Mittie Cherry, 324 Chapel Street, at 3 o'clock yesterday 
afternoon at the advanced age of 69 years.  The funeral will be held from the 
residence at 6 o'clock this afternoon.

The funeral of Mrs. Rebecca Tarrant, widow of the late Mr. William C. Tarrant, 
whose death has been noted in these columns, was solemnized from the residence 
of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Cherry, 324 Chapel Street, yesterday afternoon.  
Rev. J.K. Joliff, pastor of Queen Street Methodist Church, officiating.  The 
remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
