Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, September 7, 1998 
Helen Daye Tarver of the 4600 block of Mayflower Ave., died Sept. 4, 1998, ata
local nursing home.

Born in Southampton County, Va., she was the widow of Henry Tarver. She was a
retired machine operator and a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street,
Norfolk.

Survivors include two sisters, Mae Daye Johnson and Emma Daye Graham. She is
predeceased by one brother, Willie Daye.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Bute
Street, by the Rev. Robert Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
family will receive friends at the residence. The remains will be placed in the
church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
