Norfolk Virginian October 29, 1897

Mrs. Jane P. Tatem died this morning shortly before 5 o'clock.  She was the 
widow of the late Joseph P. Tatem and was in the 79th year of her age.  Four 
children survive her, Misses Anna and Jane and Messrs. Joseph P. and R.S. 
Tatem.  She was a devoted member of the Christian Church for sixty-five years.  
The funeral will take place from the church at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
