Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday July 19, 1944
Capt. Jehue L. Tatem, 75, of 302 Ingram street, Benmorell Park, died at a local 
hospital yesterday morning at 4:10 o'clock, after an illness of two weeks.
He was a native of Currituck County, North Carolina, and had resided here for 50 
years.  He was a son of the late Spence H. and Angelica T. Tatem and husband of 
the late Mattie Beasley Tatem.  He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. L.V. Kowoskey, 
of Norfolk; a brother, C.V. Tatem, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. J.W. Harper, of 
Princess Anne County, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, where services will be 
conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.  Interment will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
