The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday October 15, 1943
Miss Martha Jane Tatem, daughter of the late Joseph F. and Mrs. Jane Sparrow 
Tatem, a native of Princess Anne County and a lifelong resident of this 
section, died Thursday at 12 o'clock noon at the Mary F. Ballentine Home.
Surviving her are a niece, Mrs. Aubrey L. Baker, of Richmond, two nephews, 
Richard H. Tatem, of Norfolk, and Clyde Cason, of California, and a number of 
grand nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial avenue, Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, with the Rev. Moultrie Guerry, 
rector of Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will be in 
Magnolia Cemetery.
