Virginia Beach - Kathleen Theresa Tatman passed away suddenly on August 6, 2013 in 
Virginia Beach, Va. Born on February 7, 1950 in Hamilton, Ohio she was the 
daughter of Raymond William Tatman and Doris Bernadine Drake Tatman. She is 
preceded in death by her Father, Mother, brothers Bill Tatman, Timm Tatman, Eric 
Tatman, Chris Tatman, and Nephew Wade Maitland. When Kathy was 6, her family moved 
from Ohio to Blackstone, Va. where she attended school until 1967 and formed many 
lifelong friendships. In 1967, the family moved to Virginia Beach. After 
graduation from Kellam High School, she discovered her flair for excellent 
customer service and worked at various local hotels as a desk clerk, winning 
praise and awards for her attention to detail and to guests' needs. In her spare 
time, she attended country music festivals, concerts, and hockey games. Many of 
her photographs of singers and hockey players were printed in local magazines. 
Kathy never married nor had children, but she loved spending time with the 
children and grandchildren of her brothers and sisters. She leaves behind to 
cherish her memory her sisters, Stephany Maitland (Larry) of Stony Creek, Va., 
Paula Honeycutt, Mary Ann Yoder, and Frances Germanos (John), of Virginia Beach, 
Va. and her brother, Lane Tatman, of Decatur, Ga. Also - sister-in-law, Ann 
Bennis, uncle, Gordon Drake, of Phoenix, numerous aunts, nieces and nephews and 
great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins scattered across the United 
States.
