Mrs. Iola S. Taylor died at a local hospital on Oct. 30 and funeral services were 
held on Nov. 4 at St. John’s AME Church with the pastor, the Rev. H. M. Shields, 
officiating. Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Taylor is survived by 
her husband, Booker W. Taylor; son, Booker Taylor Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Cornelius Simmons, five sisters and three brothers.
