Virginian Pilot November 27, 1966

Robert A. Taylor Sr., 71, of 8213 Halprin Drive, the husband of Mrs. Ellen 
Connor Taylor and son of Stonewall Jackson and Mrs. Marian Rhea Taylor, died 
Saturday in a hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church 
and a retired employe of the City of Norfolk.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert A. Taylor Jr. of Virginia 
Beach; a daughter, Miss Marie Vivian Taylor of Arlington; a sister, Mrs. Lillian 
Fitzpatrick of Norfolk; and two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Tuesday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 7:30 p.m.

TAYLOR, ROBERT A. - At a local hospital, Saturday, Nov. 26, 1966, at 12:30 a.m., 
ROBERT A. TAYLOR, husband of Ellen Connor Taylor, and son of the late Stonewall 
Jackson, and Mrs. Marian Rhea Taylor, in the 72nd year of his age. The body will 
be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church for a funeral service Tuesday at 10 a.m. Friends of the family are 
invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services at the 
funeral apartments (today) Monday at 7:30 p.m.
