Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, March 15, 1991
Emily Pretlow Taylor of the 4500 block of Bankhead Ave., died March 7, 1991.

Mrs. Taylor, a Norfolk native, was a member of Wayside Baptist Church, New York 
City, Ridgewood Masonic Temple and Order of Eastern Star, Hyacinth Chapter 6. 

Survivors include her husband, Paul Taylor; two sons, Gregory Pretlow of 
Washington, D.C., and John Shivers of Long Island, N.Y.; three sisters, Margaret 
Land, Elizabeth Perkins and Palmer Lee Watson, all of Norfolk; a brother, Jack 
Butler of Norfolk; and four grandchildren. 

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Olive Grove Baptist Church 
by the Rev. Harry Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be 
today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service, where a wake will be held 
from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at noon Wednesday. 
Friends may join the family at the residence.
