Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jan 16,1960
Royal Taylor, of 1451 44th street, died Jan. 10 in a Norfolk hospital.  Employed 
as a gardener, Mr. Taylor was a native of Norfolk.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine Taylor;  four sisters, Mrs. Estelle 
Taylor and Mrs. Annie Garey of New Jersey, Mrs. Paulien Dean of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Margaret McKinley of New York, NY, and a brother, George Taylor of Norfolk.

Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 14, at St. Mark Church, Lamberts Point, of 
which he was a member.  The Rev. P. L. Harvey officiated.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery, with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
