Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, June 29, 1992 
Donovan C. Taylor, of the 7400 block of Dakota Ave., a retired chauffeur and
mechanic, died June 26, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Taylor was born in Sumter, S.C. He had retired from the Norfolk Naval Base
and the Hunter Co. He was a member of St. John A.M.E. Church, where he served on
the Trustee Board, the commission of finance and the Ruby Cook Fellowship Group.
He was also a member of Wayman Chapel A.M.E., Sumter.

Survivors include his wife, , Lillian H. Taylor; a sister, Berenice Cones of
Washington, D.C.; and a brother, Irvin N. Taylor of Philadelphia.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. John A.M.E. Church by the
Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be placed
in the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Friends may join the family at the residence.
