Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, April 28, 1992 
Willie J. Taylor of the 1200 block of Mapole Ave., a retired maintenance
supervisor, died April 25, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Taylor was born in Norfolk and had retired from S.L. Nusbaum. He was a
member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Chesapeake. He was the widower of Mattie
Hall Taylor.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia T. Bonds of Chesapeake and Sandra
Cooper of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Melvine W. Norman of Norfolk; three sons,
Willie Cooper and Jimmy Cooper, both of Norfolk, and James L. Gulling of New
York City; a stepson, George E. Wyatt of Chesapeake; a sister, Dorothy Conwell,
and a brother, Albert Skinner, both of Norfolk; 17 grandchildren, 18
great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Mount Zion Baptist Church by
the Rev. Rayphield Clay. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
placed in church at 10 a.m. The family will assemble at 2411 E. Princess Anne
Road. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
