Mrs. Maude Taylor of 2828 Schooley avenue died Feb. 18 at her residence.  She
was 85 years of age;  a native of Lewiston, NC,she was a member and deaconess of
Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she also served on the usher board.

Funeral services were conducted at Jerusalem Church Feb. 21 by the Rev. Thomas
M. Venable.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, with Hale Funeral Home in charge.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Julia Thomas of New York City and Miss Maggie
Robinson of Norfolk;  one brother, William Henry Robinson of Cape Charles;  two
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
