Taylor at New Calvary Church with the pastor, Rev. S. A. Wilson, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with the Hale Funeral home in charge. He was born in Garrysburg, NC, and had lived in Norfolk for about 50 years. He was a pullman porter and retired in 1942 and was a member of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. Mr. Taylor lived at 950 Marietta street and died April 28 in a local hospital. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Cherry Fauntleroy, Philadelphia, and Mrs. Elnora Woodhouse, Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Young, Mrs. Ollie Alston, both of Littleton,NC; Mrs. Virgie Jones and Mrs. Estell Miller, both of Weldon, NC; two sons-in-law, Holmes C. Fauntleroy, Philadelphia, and Leon A. Woodhouse, Norfolk, and other relatives and friends.
