Mr. Chas. R. Taylor was born in Richmond, VA, October 29,1871 and died March 
16,1924. He came to Norfolk in the early eighties and has lived here ever since. 
He was married to Miss Annie Artis in 1894.

Mrs. Chas. R. Taylor was well known in Norfolk by both white and colored 
citizens and loved by all who knew him. He was a member of the Jerusalem Baptist 
Church, The Lancasters and also a member of the Excelsior Band for thirty years.

Mr. Chas. R. Taylor was a resident of Lamberts Point and his life in his 
community was admired by all.

He leaves a wife, two sisters and other relatives to mourn their loss.
