Virginian Pilot May 11, 1997

Marie Newton Taylor, born in Buena Vista, Va. on Feb. 16, 1905, and died in 
Virginia Beach on May 6, 1997.
She was the widow of William S. Newton and L. Jerome Taylor. She was a life time 
member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Norfolk, and was a long time resident 
of Norfolk and Washington, D.C.
She is survived by a brother, Douglas Thornton of Richmond, Va. and several 
nephews and nieces.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Elmwood 
Cemetery, Princess Anne Road, by the Rev. Michael Godderz. The family will 
receive friends after the service at 516 Oak Grove Road (Talbot Park). H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel is handing arrangements.
