Ronald Eugene Taylor, 55, of the 100 block of Maple Ave., departed this life and 
entered into eternal peace and glory Jan. 20, 2003 in Bon Secours Depaul 
Hospital. Born Dec. 21, 1947 in Norfolk, he was the son of Vernon E. Taylor and 
the late Vivian Holloway Brown. He was predeceased by his son, Raymonde E. 
Taylor. He attended Norfolk public school and had lived most of his life in the 
Ocean View section of Norfolk. 

Ronald was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center as 
a warehouseman and later worked for Norfolk Public Schools as a custodial 
substitute. 

Ronald is survived by his wife, Ethel Taylor of Virginia Beach; his father, 
Vernon C. Taylor of Portsmouth; stepmother, Hermione Taylor of Portsmouth; two 
daughters, Vivian Taylor of Virginia Beach and Brooke Parker of Norfolk; two 
aunts, Thelma Holloway Simmons of Jamaica, N.Y., and Pearl Taylor Summerville of 
Norfolk. 

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Graves Funeral Home Chapel by the 
Rev. Robert Murray. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will 
receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
