Mrs. Taylor was one of the most earnest workers in the church. The basin, to be used in the presentation of the offertory, has the centre, forming the bowl, of plain polished silver, with a broad brim of elaborate repousse work in a beautiful design of Easter lilies. The alms basin is massive and is about eighty inches in circumference. On the leaves of the lilies are inscribed the words: "In loving memory of Baynie Tunstall Taylor, All Souls' Day, 1890, when Mrs. Taylor died."
