Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who were touched by her vibrant spirit and boundless compassion. Born on August 14, 1986, Shakena was the beloved daughter of Lucy Cradle, George Woodhouse, and Isiah Taylor. In 2007, she welcomed her stepfather, Derl Cradle(known as Mr. Brown), into her life. Shakena was educated in Norfolk Public Schools and later pursued higher education at Tidewater Community College. On May 13, 2016, Shakena married the love of her life, Thomas Pannell. Together they enjoyed traveling, shopping, and memorable trips to the slots. Their greatest shared interest, however, was their unwavering love for their children and grandchildren, with whom they focused on creating lasting memories. For 18 years, Shakena dedicated her life to the service of others as a caregiver for several home health companies. This devotion reflected her fundamental nature as a loving, supportive, and compassionate person. Driven by her deep desire to ensure a better quality of life and care for others, she realized her dream in August 2023 by opening her own home health care business, K&K Cares 4U, where she provided exceptional service to her clients.
