Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Frances Tedford, 45, of Wood St. died Wednesday morning 
in a Norfolk hospital after a short illness.

She was a daughter of the late Fletcher and Mrs. Indiana Smith and the widow 
of Raymond Tedford. A native of Sumpton, VA, she lived in Norfolk 43 years 
and worked as a maid at the main office of Seaboard Citizens National Bank 
14 years.

She was a member of United Christian Baptist church, where she served on 
Usher Board I. 

Surviving are one son, Fred A. Ashley and five grandchildren.

The body ws taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be 
held in United Christian Baptist Church Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. 
Lawrence Smith, pastor, with burial in Calvary Cemetery
