The Norfolk Virginian Pilot June 17, 1952 


Mrs. Annie J. Temple, 92, widow of Thomas B. Temple and daughter of John G. and 
Mrs. Anne Hawkins Orgain, died yesterday at 6:30 a.m. at the residence, 3023 
Orange Street, Estabrook.
A native of Richmond, she had resided in Norfolk for 50 years. She was a member 
of Zion Methodist Church, and of the Gold Star Mothers of World War I.
Surviving her are one daughter, Miss Margaret Temple; two sons, Richard E. 
Temple and J.C. Temple, and one grandson, all of Norfolk.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, tomorrow at 
2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Edward D. Garris, pastor of Zion Methodist Church. Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
