Norfolk - Joe Leon Terrell, 32, of 1736 Melon street, was given a funeral 
service Thursday in Trinity Baptist Church, where he served as deacon.

An employee of Sunlight Laundry for 12 years, Mr. Terrell died Feb. 21 in a 
Norfolk hospital.  He was buried in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home 
handling arrangements.

The deceased was a native of Avera, GA.  He was the son of Mrs. Minnie Terrell 
Simmons and the late Richmond Terrell.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janie Downing 
Terrell;  a son, Larry Wayne Terrell;  a daughter, Shanal Evett Terrell;  a 
sister, Mrs. Dorothy Terrell Thomas;  and seven brothers, Rollo and William 
Terrell of Michigan, Clifton Terrell of Chesapeake, Bobby Louis Terrell of 
Norfolk, Carl W. Simmons and John Elliott Terrell of Avera.
(Note: obituary states seven brothers, but only six listed)
