Mrs. Mayfield Bellamy Terry, 83, mother of William Herbert Terry, Jr., died 
Monday at 11:20 p.m. at her residence, 301 36th Street.

Mrs. Terry, widow of William Herbert Terry, was born in Warrenton, N.C., and 
lived in this section most of her life. Her late parents were Thomas Marshall 
and Mrs. Virginia Mayfield Groner Bellamy.

She was graduated from the Norfolk Female College, was a charter member of the 
Norfolk City Union of King's Daughters; a former secretary of the Norfolk 
Woman's Club, and a member of the Galilee Episcopal Church.

Surviving, in addition to her son, are one daughter, Mrs. William B. Lobaugh, 
of Norfolk; one brother, T. Marshall Bellamy, of Kempsville; four nieces and 
three nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Edmund Berkeley, rector of the Galilee Episcopal 
Church. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
