Thatch, 72, of 333 Lenox Ave., the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Thatch and a retired Chesapeake and Ohio Railway ticket agent, died Monday in his home. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Besides his widow, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary T. McGowan of Norfolk and Mrs. Janice Schmitt of Virginia Beach; a son, Raymond A. Thatch of Middletown, N.J.; two brothers, Vincent D. Thatch and Philip L. Thatch of Norfolk; and 14 grandchildren. A Christian Wake service will be held tonight at 8 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments in charge. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. ******************************************************************************* THATCH, JOSEPH A. - In his home, 333 Lenox Avenue, Norfolk, Monday, JOSEPH A.
