Virginian Pilot August 26, 1991

Lorraine Meads Thayer, 76, of the 500 block of Thalia Road, died Aug. 24, 1991, 
in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Thayer was born in Norfolk. She had retired from Hardy's Jewelers after 22 
years and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Hinckley Thayer; a daughter, Marjorie V. 
Thayer of Virginia Beach; two stepdaughters, Patricia T. Paschal and Margaret T. 
Jackson, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Margaret M. Daniels of Norfolk; a 
brother, John D. Meads of Camden, N.J.; three grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church 
by the Rev. Hugh C. White III. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may 
join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk.
