Norfolk Virginian January 3, 1897

Mrs. Mary N., the wife of Mr. Stephen Thayer, died at 8:55 o'clock last 
evening at her home No. 172 Princess Anne Avenue, aged 52 years and 4 
months.  The funeral will be from St. Luke's P.E. Church tomorrow afternoon 
at 2 o'clock.  The deceased leaves a husband and two children, Mr. Robert 
Thayer and Mrs. Charles Blanchard.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary V. Thayer, wife of Mr. Stephen B. Thayer, took 
place yesterday afternoon from St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was conducted 
by the rector, Rev. A.S. Lloyd.  The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
