Thebarge, 73, of the 400 block of Corapeake Drive, died March 1,1988, in a hospital. Mrs. Thebarge, a native of Richmond, was the widow of Alfred E. Thebarge. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Ligon of Fairfax, Va., and Theresa Barco of Chesapeake; a son, Alfred E. Thebarge Jr., of Chesapeake; four sisters, Margaret Gallup of Chesapeake, Elizabeth Depensmith and Kathryn Messina, both of San Diego, and Anne Miller of Richmond; a brother, Al McSweeney of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Frank Wiggins. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday and visitation will be until 9 p.m. in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
