As yet the man has not been identified. His body is being held at the morgue. The stranger was suffering from a stroke of paralysis. He appears to be about 42 years of age. His clothing and general appearance indicates that he is a laborer or artisan. Beyond a blank pay envelope that he had in one pocket and a Pythian badge no means of identification were found about his person. The only writing on the envelope is "Thirlwell, $15.14." There was no money about his person. The local Knights of Pythias lodges have interested themselves in the case and are conducting an investigation in the hope of locating the man's people or learning something about him. Believing that he was a Pythian they will give him a Christian burial if nothing further about him van be learned. **************************************************************** The funeral of George F. Thirlwell was held from the funeral apartments of H.C. Smith, Bank Street, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was attended by the members of the Pythian order of Norfolk. The service was conducted by Rev. J.B. Merritt, chaplain of the Seamen's Bethel. The remains were interred in Pythian lot No. 9 in Elmwood Cemetery.
