Norfolk Journal and Guide, June 25,1960
Final rites for Sonny Thomas, 46, of 2324 Courtney avenue, were held Sunday at 
the Citizens Funeral Home.  The Rev. J. Q. A. Lassiter officiated.  Burial was 
in Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Thomas’ survivors are his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Pretlow;  his stepfather, 
Roscoe Pretlow;  two uncles, Garland Pretlow and Francis Pretlow;  three 
aunts, Mrs. Lessie Johnson of Myrtle Beach SC; Mrs. Jessie Henway and Mrs. M. 
Thomas of Brooklyn NY.
