Norfolk Journal and Guide, Sep 3,1938
William Thomas, 38, of 1110 Chapel St., died in New York City, August 15, and 
his funeral was held from Hale’s Chapel with the Rev. F. W. Williams, pastor 
of Central Baptist Church, Berkley, officiating, August 21.  He is survived by 
his wife, Mrs. Lillian Thomas, and five sisters.  Interment in Calvary 
Cemetery.
(Cemetery book lists burial place as “Old Cemetery”) (“Old Calvary?”)
