Funeral services were held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church for Mrs. Cittie Elizabeth 
Thomas, 82, who died in a local hospital Friday night following a short illness.  
Mrs. Thomas lived at 2515 Tidewater drive.

Mrs. Thomas, a native of Raleigh, NC, lived in Norfolk forty years.  She was the 
daughter of the Rev. Isaac and Penny Jefferys and the widow of George Thomas.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Eureka Lodge of Norfolk;  Victoria 
Court number 52, Grand courts of Calanthies and Mt. Olive Church, where she was 
a member of the missionary circle.

Surviving Mrs. Thomas are two daughters, Mrs. Addie Olds of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Malissa Howard of Richmond;  a sister, Mrs. Mary Johnson of Ossining, NY;  and 
two brothers, Wade Jefferys of Roanoke and David Jefferys of Washington DC.

Riddick Funeral Home was in charge of interment in Calvary Cemetery.
