The Rev. Lawrence Smith of United Christian Baptist Church, officiated at the service. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Thomas, who died in a Norfolk hospital Feb. 19, was a native of Harrisville, NC. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and its choir, a Mason and a member of the Postman choir. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Thomas; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellis of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Nannie case and Mrs. Marie Givens of Norfolk and Mrs. Lessie White of Edenton, NC.
