Thomas, formerly a compositor on this paper, died of pneumonia at his boarding house, on Market Square, this city, on Friday night. He was a native of Tarboro, N.C. and was about twenty-three years of age. The printers of the city are requested to attend his funeral at 3 p.m. today from his late residence. ****************************************************************** The funeral of Mr. James L. Thomas, whose death on Friday last has been mentioned in our columns, took place at 3 o'clock last Sunday afternoon from the late residence of the deceased, on Market Square, and was attended by the printers of the city in a body. The services were conducted by the Rev. James F. Twitty, pastor of the Queen Street M.E. Church, and the remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery, the following officiating as pallbearers: Norfolk Landmark - Samuel Talbot and James Woodhouse Norfolk Virginian - J.H. Pugh, Henry V.
