Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, October 6, 1993 
Margaret Lee Thomas, of the 1700 block of LaSalle Ave., a homemaker, died Oct.
1, 1993, in a local hospital.

She was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Clifford W. Thomas Sr. She was a
member of the Way of the Cross Church of God in Christ, Norfolk, and the Usher
Board (NU)1. She was predeceased by her mother, Ethel Taylor, and her father,
Eugene Taylor.

She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Harper, Shelia Elliott, Barbara
Thomas and Phyllis Thomas, all of Norfolk; four sons, Clifford Thomas Jr.,
Horace Thomas and Michael Thomas Sr., all of Norfolk, and Gerald Thomas of
Virginia Beach; one brother, Thomas Peede of Virginia Beach; 25 grandchildren
and 16 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at noon Saturday in the Way of the Cross Church of God in
Christ and conducted by the Rev. Lewis E. Hines. Burial will be in the Calvary
Cemetery of Norfolk. A wake service will be held Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. The
family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the processional to church.
