NORFOLK - Benjamin Thomas Jr. of 1527 W. 45rd St., a native of Norfolk and the 
widower of Juanita Thomas, died Thursday in a hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Diane Mincey, and two sons, Benjamin 
Thomas III and Randy Thomas, all of Norfolk; two stepdaughters, Joreatha Barrett 
of Norfolk and Barbara Harvey of Philadelphia; a sister, Velma Shaw of New York 
City; a brother, Samuel Thomas of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Mark RZUA Church by the 
Rev. James O. Allen. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is 
in charge.

The family will assemble at the residence.
