Virginia Beach - Eric Daniel Thomas, 38, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in his 
residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Virginia Beach. He is the son 
of Leo "Buddy" Thomas, Jr. and Patricia Smith Thomas and was preceded in death by 
his brother David Scott Thomas. He graduated from Midlothian High School and was 
employed as a real estate investor with Realty Ventures, LLC. Eric was a smart, 
fun loving person with a kind heart. He loved fishing and his family. Survivors 
include his wife, Leslie Marie Leisure Thomas and his beloved daughter, Sofia 
Lilly Thomas , his parents; his maternal grandmother, Martha Smith and paternal 
grandfather, Leo Thomas, Sr., his sister-in-law, Renee E. Thomas and his niece, 
Lauren and nephew David all of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by numerous 
aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many loving friends. A memorial service will 
be held at Waves Church, 2655 Seaboard Road, Virginia Beach, VA on Saturday, 
February 6, 2016 at 4:00 PM. Pastor Robert Cameron will officiate. Burial will be 
private. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel is handling arrangements. 
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Waves 
City Care, C/O Waves Church, Virginia Beach. Online condolences may be sent to the
