Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, December 17, 1997 
Jacqueline Mildred Holmes Thomas of the 6500 block of Parson Road, died Dec. 13,
1997.

Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Novella Holmes. She
was a member of Mount Calvary Holiness Church in New York.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Thomas; three daughters, Mildred Gatlings,
Arstelia Clark and Nancy Arrufat; three sons, Maurice Holmes, Jermaine Thomas
and Shawn Thomas; five sisters, Ruth Smith, Mary Edwards, Frances Spruill,
Gloria Lewis, and Veronica Graham; and brothers, Samuel Holmes and Jackie Holmes.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Bolling
Brook, by the Rev. Clinton Brown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The
family will receive friends at 208 Filbert St. Viewing will be held Friday from
2 to 8 p.m. in Riddick Funeral Home. The body will be placed in church at 10
a.m. Saturday.
