The Virginian Pilot April 13, 1899
Mrs. Frederica Thomas, wife of Dr. J. W. Thomas, Jr., whose serious illness was 

noted in these columns, departed this life at the family residence, No. 389 

Granby street, yesterday, after months' suffering from heart trouble, in the 
52d year of her age. The deceased was a lady of most lovable traits of 
character, and her demise wil be deeply regretted by a large circle of friends 
and acquaintances. She was the daughter of the late F. S. and Virginia A. 
Dashiell, and a sister of Miss Maggie and Messrs. John F. Dashiell, of Berkley. 
She leaves a daughter. The funeral will be solemnized from the residence at 
3:30 o'clock this afternoon.
