Virginian Pilot Tuesday March 7, 1899

The death of Mrs. Margaret S. Thomas, wife of Mr. E.T. Thomas, at her home, No. 
112 Claiborne Avenue, Sunday night, at 7:45 o’clock, was learned with sorrow by 
her many friends in this city yesterday, she had been ill for some time and 
hopes were entertained for her recovery until Sunday, when it was seen that she 
was sinking fast. She was a lady of most exemplary life, and bore her 
protracted illness with fortitude and Christian resignation. Her husband, son 
and two brothers, Messrs., V.C. and J. Arnold Dalby survive her. The obsequies 
will be held from the residence at 3 o’clock this afternoon.
