Norfolk - Willie Samuel Thomas, 57, of 737 Chapel St., the husband of Mrs. Helen
S. Thomas and a native of Berkley, died Sunday in Hampton Veterans Hospital.

He worked for National Furniture Co. of Norfolk 20 years. He was a Navy veteran
of World War II with the rating of seaman, 2nd class. He was a Methodist.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Ann Watson, Ms. Celestine
Thomas, and Ms. Mary Ann Thomas, and three sons, Randolph Thomas, Richard
Thomas, and Anthony Thomas, all of Norfolk; and a grandchild.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Twilight Funeral Home Chapel by
the Rev. L. E. Willis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will
assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation at the funeral home
will be tonight from 7 p.m.
