He was the son of Levi M. Thomas and the late Lutricia Alligood Thomas and husband of Martenia Thomas. The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home Jackson and Jefferson streets, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 4 o'clock. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. *********** Leonard Melvin Thomas - Funeral services for Mr. Thomas, of 912 Franklin avenue, South Norfolk, who was killed in a highway accident Friday, were conducted yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Graham Funeral home in South Norfolk. The Rev. J.M. McKnight, pastor of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiated. The Rev. O.D. Poythress, pastor of the South Norfolk Christian Church sang "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?" The attendance was large and there were many floral tributes. The casket was covered with Easter lilies, roses, baby's breath and fern. Pallbearers were Wallace Pillar, Eley Pender, Joseph Bryant, J.T. Williams, Robert Rice, Spencer Adkins, Hersey Askew and George Winburn. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
