Ledger-Star May 3, 1906
A colored man named James Thompson, aged 57 years, died suddenly yesterday, while 
at prayer in St. Joseph’s Catholic church, on Queen street, Norfolk. He was on his 
knees and fell over dead. He had been a sufferer from asthma. The funeral will 
occur at St. Joseph’s church tomorrow (Friday) morning.
